Welcome to the first edition of Mythical Odyssey — a unique stage race across Meteora, Mount Olympus, and Mount Pelion.
To preserve the intimate, high-quality experience we want every participant to enjoy, entries for the 2026 edition are strictly limited to 50 runners. This ensures personalised support, close camaraderie, and the unique sense of adventure that defines our race.
Participation is open to runners aged 18 years and above.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes even the best-laid race plans must change. While we aim to accommodate genuine circumstances, we also work with small, local partners who require advance payments and operate with strict policies. For this reason, the following cancellation terms apply:
1. Deposits Are Non-Refundable
To secure your place, a deposit of €790 is required at registration. This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
2. Cancellation Timeline & Refunds
- More than 90 days before the event (before 20 June 2026):
⟶ Refund of all payments made, minus the deposit. - Between 90 and 45 days before the event (20 June – 3 August 2026):
⟶ 50% refund of the total amount paid. - Less than 45 days before the event (from 3 August 2026 onwards):
⟶ No refund will be given.
3. Important Notes
- All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.
- Refunds will be processed within 30 days of cancellation confirmation.
- We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering race fees, medical emergencies, and trip cancellations.
Thank you for understanding that organising a race of this scale, in remote and spectacular parts of Greece, requires long lead times, non-refundable reservations, and a great deal of behind-the-scenes coordination. Your support and commitment make this race possible.
Mandatory Equipment & Insurance Document
For your safety and the fairness of the competition, all runners are required to carry the mandatory equipment listed below during each stage of the race.
This list has been kept as light and practical as possible, focusing on essential survival, safety, and trail-running needs.
Mandatory Equipment will be thoroughly checked:
• During Competitor Check-In before the event
• On the course, at random spot checks throughout the race
You must carry the mandatory items at all times during each stage, regardless of the weather conditions.
Failure to carry any of the mandatory items may result in time penalties or, in serious cases, disqualification. These measures are taken not only to ensure safety in remote terrain but also to maintain a consistent and fair standard across all participants.
• Running pack or vest capable of carrying all items comfortably
• Minimum 1 litre of water capacity (hydration bladder or bottles)
• Emergency thermal blanket (space blanket)
• Whistle
• Fully charged mobile phone, with race emergency numbers saved
• Windproof jacket or light waterproof shell
• Hat or buff / head covering (for sun or cold)
• Basic first aid kit, including:
– adhesive bandages
– elastic bandage or tape
– blister plasters or tape
– antiseptic wipes or spray
• Race bib / number, visible at all times (provided by organisers)
• Nutrition supplies (e.g., energy gels, bars, electrolytes for the stages)
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
Due to the high-altitude environment of Mount Olympus — where we will reach elevations over 2,700 m, and where weather can change rapidly, the following additional mandatory items must be carried during Stage 2 (ascent) and Stage 3 (descent):
• Waterproof jacket with hood
• Insulating layer (e.g., light fleece or thermal long-sleeve)
• Long running tights
• Light gloves
• Warm hat or buff
• Headlamp (must be carried in both Olympus stages even if not expected to finish in the dark)
• Minimum 1 litres of water (due to limited access to water during ascent)
Why this matters:
At this altitude, temperatures can drop below 5 °C, especially with wind chill, and cloud cover or storms can roll in unexpectedly. These items are essential not only for your safety but for the safety of others, should you or another runner require assistance. All refuges are prepared to help, but you must be self-reliant during the stage.
• Trekking poles (allowed and recommended for ascent/descent stages)
• GPS watch
• Lightweight dry bag or ziplock to protect electronics from rain
A copy of your valid insurance policy (covering endurance sports, medical emergencies, evacuation, and repatriation) must be submitted to Mythical Odyssey at race check-in.
You must also carry a copy of the policy summary or insurance card (with policy number and 24-hour emergency hotline) with you at all times during the event.
Failure to provide proof of insurance at check-in will result in refusal to start, without refund.
