For the final act of our Odyssey, we travel to a secret treasure of Greece: Mount Pelion.
Unlike Meteora or Olympus, Pelion is still relatively unknown to foreign visitors — and that is exactly what makes it so magical. Located between the calm waters of the Pagasitikos Gulf and the wild blue of the Aegean Sea, Pelion is a land of deep forests, traditional villages, and dreamy trails.
Here, you will run through shaded forests, apple orchards, and ancient mule paths that connect some of the most picturesque villages in all of Greece — places like Portaria, Makrinitsa, Tsagarada, and Damouchari, where time seems to have paused.
The terrain in Pelion is gentler and more forgiving than Olympus, giving your body time to recover and your spirit space to soar. You will still be challenged, but in a different way — a joyful immersion in green, sea-scented trails with panoramic views to both coasts at once.
And to finish the journey? A dreamlike descent through the forest to the village of Damouchari, where scenes from Mamma Mia were filmed. The finish line is literally on the beach, where you can jump into the crystal-clear waters and wash away the hardships and challenges of the previous days. A moment of pure release. So well deserved.
