Mount Olympus

The Mountain of the Gods

From the divine silence of Meteora, we ascend to the throne of Zeus.

Mount Olympus is not only the highest mountain in Greece at 2,917 meters, it is also the mythological home of the Greek Gods — and one of the most legendary natural wonders in Europe. The mountain is a National Park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, where wild goats and horses still roam freely, and where ancient footpaths and alpine trails have been walked for thousands of years.

Our route through Olympus has been carefully selected for safety, beauty, and drama. We have avoided any dangerous or technical terrain, offering instead a well-marked, runnable, yet challenging route that gives you all the grandeur of the mountain without unnecessary risk.

The highlight? After a long and glorious climb, you will spend the night at the Apostolidis Refuge at 2,700 m — just below the summit of Mytikas. From this perch, you will enjoy unparalleled views to the Aegean Sea, taste a warm, hearty alpine meal, and sleep in a clean, comfortable mountain hut with proper beds. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience: resting at the foot of the gods, wrapped in stars.

And as if Olympus was not enough, the next day you will descend into Platamonas, a coastal village with a castle by the sea, turquoise waters, and a beachfront hotel where your legs will finally rest beside the waves.

To complete the Olympus chapter, you will also pass through one of Greece’s most beautiful mountain villages, Palaios Panteleimonas, with its cobblestone paths and panoramic views to the sea.
